Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 2012 700hp V12 engine supercar review

Lamborghini’s next supercar Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 has made its world debut at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. The Lamborghini name gets a new car with the Aventador which was officially revealed in February in Geneva. The new Lamborghini car will feature a 700hp V12 engine and the highest power to weight ratio of any car in its class. Yes, this is the new, long waited Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 2012.

In what has become one of the most distinctive features for any Lamborghini cars, the passenger doors will open upwards towards the sky. This feature has been used on every major Lamborghini supercar since the Countach. Few companies have been able to create a specific design element that they are able to carry through various decades with such poise. The nearest competitor may be Mercedes Benz and the 300SL Gullwing of the past and SLS AMG of today.

The Lamborghini Aventador supercar is the successor to Lamborghini’s Murcielago SV which they’ve been making since 2001. You’ll notice that the Aventador doesn’t feature the rear wing or the deep side sill of the Murcielago, but the Aventador counters with wide side vents and huge rear fenders. Those are just a few of the differences though between the two, it definitely looks like the Aventador will be a worthy successor.
